Scan Rotator: rotate sideways or upside-down PDFs before sending to a carrier

Free in-browser tool that rotates every page in a PDF by 90, 180, or 270 degrees so a sideways or upside-down scan reads correctly. Built for body-shop ops where phones and old desktop scanners produce rotated output that adjusters refuse to read. Files never leave your browser.

Why rotation matters for carrier submissions

Adjusters routinely reject sideways scans. They will not flip the page on their end and they will not save the rotation back into the file from a desktop PDF reader. A 90, 180, or 270 degree rotation fixes the problem in 5 seconds. Use this tool, then attach the corrected file to the email thread.

Privacy story

Files never leave your browser. The rotation is performed locally with an MIT-licensed PDF library and the result is saved to your downloads folder. There is no server upload, no analytics on file content, and no privacy review needed before using on real claim files.

Common questions

Will rotation hurt my image quality?

No. The tool changes the page rotation metadata on each PDF page, not the underlying image. Output file size matches the input within a few percent.

Can I rotate only one page?

Not in this tool. This rotates every page by the same angle, which is the right move for the most common case (a whole scan that came out sideways). For mixed orientations, use the PDF Page Extractor first to pull the affected pages, rotate them separately, then merge with the Supplement Packet Builder.

What angles are supported?

90, 180, and 270 degrees. Anything else is rare in the wild and not worth the UI complexity.
